The Pallet Day Bed Project

Interior Designers need to work on their own spaces to… This time of COVID-19 has made that more apparent than ever in my own home. In the journey of expanding our own living space to the outdoors, I really wanted a lounge solution that was cost-effective and easy to maintain. There is a perfect shaded spot under a pergola covered in vines that was just asking for some TLC by THD.
So the creative juices began to flow…
I had settled on a daybed made out of pallets. Just like you, I scratched my head for a while by the thought of this. Turns out that it was as simple as ever. I was able to get the pallets for next to free and put the daybed together in one day!
I used a bed skirt to cover up the sight of the pallets.
Then, I layered in a waterproof twin mattress as the cushion with blankets and pillows.
The end result?
Now my husband and I have a charming little oasis to lay down and gaze at the stars. Simple ideas can be very cost-effective and can fulfill much needed warmth, specifically when spending most of your time at your home.
Hopefully this COVID-creation by THD will leave you inspired. Need help?
How I wish I have a husband who can do this with me too. Haha! Thank you very much for sharing this! I enjoyed the read.
