If you follow my blog you know I think there are three main components of throwing a killer party: décor, food and drink. Since Halloween is next week and many of you will be hosting, I thought I’d share my favorite ideas for the three party must-haves.

Décor

When in doubt, go with black and white for Halloween. It’s elegant and can even be a bit spooky. Be sure to look at the link below the photo to see more of these stunning black and white decorations!

Both the flowers and the bats are fantastic! They’re definitely Halloween-ish but in a classy way. To top it off, it would be fun to sit around and cut out those beautiful bats.

I absolutely love this sophisticated look. Even Halloween can be chic if done right!

Bites
Candied pretzels

These are great because they serve as both treats and adorable decorations. Plus you can have some fun dipping the pretzels in chocolate and sprinkles.

Spider Web Tomato Soup

Isn’t this adorable? You make the spider webs out of yogurt and use a toothpick to make the points.

Caramel Apple Monster Munch

This looks so good and seems fairly easy to make, as long as you pay close attention to it! Your guests will ooh and ahh over this cute and tasty treat.

Drinks
Black + Orange Rum Punch
drink
Halloweeny. It’s two different kinds of rum, soda water, orange, pineapple and lime juices, and then the sugar on the rims and blackberries to drop inside. So cute!

Pumpkin and Bourbon Milkshake

Sure, Halloween may not be the best time to drink a frozen milkshake (at least not when you’re located in Minnesota), but this looks amazing and is sure to please all guests. You could easily make it kid-friendly, too.

Bleeding Heart Martini

The bleeding heart in the glass is actually a pickled beet, which would be delicious with vermouth and gin or vodka – whichever you prefer! It’s cute, it’s creepy, and it probably tastes fantastic.

Whatever route you take for this year’s Halloween party, keep it fun and classy!
