The Pantone Color Green Across Europe
As an Interior Designer, I am constantly looking for inspiration in my life – everywhere that I go. This year’s selection for Pantone’s Color of the Year was a shocker to some people. But like many of those that work in the design industry, the color “Green” was an expected and welcome addition.
There’s just so much that can be done with green. I recently took a trip to Europe for the holiday time period and I can tell you that the color green is alive and well in Europe. From fashion to interiors, to furniture, architecture and more. Here are some of my pictures and sentiments to explain the draw to these green scapes.
Berenice Paris
A boutique clothing shop. I love the layering of the textures and combo of green colors. The green was everywhere in clothing displays. This was in the Saint Germain Des Pres neighborhood. Known for its awesome shopping and interior design district.

Chanel Paris
I love Chanel’s take on green – it has a military color flare while still be humble and all about texture. This was at Galeries Lafayette — it is France’s version of Norstrom’s with all the big brands.

Valentino
These images were also taken in the same location as Chanel. I loved the botanical flare on a shoe using the color of the year.
Vases, Green Vases, Table Settings, and Plates
These photos were taken in Saint Germain des Pres in interior design/home decor stores. I love the green mixed with the gold and blue-green with the combo of textures and color variations. Enjoy!

Duresta
This was at a showroom in London. I love the watercolor movement of the pattern and of course more green-on-green action. The showroom is in a store called Harrod’s — this store literally has anything you would ever want or need. Everything from gourmet food to shoes, to furniture to a spa/salon.
