We spend a lot of time in our kitchens eating, cooking and entertaining, so we might as well make the most of it, right? Some trends hitting the kitchens next year include live slab center islands, big, bold appliances and lacquered cabinets. You can really take these in any direction, but I searched for some examples to show you just how cool these trends are looking.
Live Slab Center Islands
There is something absolutely gorgeous about live slab wood! In all of the above pictures the first place your eyes go to is the amazing wooden islands, even though each of the kitchens are gorgeous in their own rights. A kitchen is a rustic place that gets lots of use, so a slab of wood in its natural shape fits right in.
Bold Hardware & Appliances
Juxtapose the rustic center islands with big, bold appliances and hardware. From an expansive oven range to huge brass lights to a one-touch coffee maker, there are plenty of ways to go big in the kitchen.
Doesn’t the glossy cabinet look so great? It really makes the bright colors pop. While the pictures I included are all bold, lacquered cabinets can come in more neutral tones as well.
Whether it’s the raw slab center island, some big appliances or lacquered cabinets, there are lots of fun ways to have a trendy kitchen next year!
