2015 Pattern Trends Part II
Like I said in my first 2015 pattern trend post (http://tiffanyhankendesign.com/2015-pattern-trend-watch/), next year is going to be a treat for the eyes! Tribal, aquatic and microscopic prints made the list on that post. This time around I’m talking about watercolor, floral and high definition nature prints. They are all colorful and they blend together magnificently. As you’ll see in the coming images, some of the floral pieces are also watercolor; some of the high definition nature patterns are floral; and some of the watercolor pieces are of nature!
These patterns can be used on walls, pillows, paintings, bedspreads, furniture and much, much more. Here are some ideas to get you thinking:
Just because the print is loud doesn’t mean it can’t be used in a BIG way, like as curtains or upholstery. A quick Pinterest search will give you virtually endless examples of how you can bring this hot pattern trend into your home next year. What’s great about watercolor is that the print is typically filled with so many colors that they can really go with anything you already have at home, be it a bright orange sofa or a cobalt blue rug.
High-definition nature prints have hit the runways in New York, Paris and Milan, so if you bring this pattern into your home you’ll be as fashionable as ever. Prints on the walls, duvet covers and wallpapers are just a couple fun ways you can utilize this print next year.
I can’t imagine the day that floral print won’t be in style, but it’s going to be pretty big in 2015. As you saw in the images above, it works in kitchens, bedrooms, fashion and more.
How will you bring these three hot pattern trends into your home next year? I’d love to hear in the comments below![Please note: Unless otherwise stated, none of the above images are mine. Please click on images for attribution].
