Nowadays backsplashes come in virtually every size, shape, color and texture. There are so many cool concepts out there for backsplashes that I found 10 I want to share with all of you. From pressed stainless steel to swanky translucent agate, there is definitely a unique, innovative backsplash idea out there for you.

Here are some of my favorite backsplashes I came across:

Wall Covering with Glass

In essence this is a really simple backsplash – it’s just a slab of glass behind the stove. But what I like about it is the glass in combination with the fun wallpaper on either side. You could get extremely creative with this look!

Herringbone

This herringbone pattern could be done with gorgeous wood like the one above or even with glass or ceramic tiles. You can either buy pre-laid squares or do it yourself piece by piece.

Raw Wood

Seriously, how fantastic does this look? Have you ever seen a backsplash made out of raw wood before? I love it!

Marble

A marble backsplash is extremely elegant, no matter the color or design you go with. I love this example with the white marble on white countertop and cabinets!

Bottle Caps

This one is a little crazier, but it would look incredible in the basement bar! Plus it’s a fun DIY project that includes drinking good beer.

Chalkboard

A chalkboard backsplash could get a little messy but I think it looks pretty snazzy. Even without any chalk doodles on it, the matte black looks great behind stainless steel appliances.

Copper Tile

These copper tiles are stunning, and they look especially beautiful by the copper farmer’s sink.

Pebbles

Sure, these pebbles might be a little hard to clean, but wow! They are stunning!

Translucent Agate

Isn’t this agate backsplash exquisite? As you can see, it’s part of a set with the agate countertop, but I think you could get away with an agate backsplash if you have a monochrome countertop of any color.

Pressed Stainless Steel

Regular stainless steel backsplashes are nice, but pressed ones are more interesting!

If you could put in any one of the above backsplashes in your kitchen, which one would you go with? I’d love to hear in the comments below!
